The Mission
With the support of sponsors and the running community, the Optimist Club of Kutztown has been able to provide scholarship assistance to the most promising and deserving students in our service area to attend Kutztown University.
Scholarships are provided through the Donald Peters Memorial Scholarship Fund under the administration of the Optimist Club of Kutztown Foundation.

Why
2026 will represent the 20th year the Fools Run is under the auspices of the Kutztown Optimist Club with over $155,000 in scholarships distributed in the first 18 years within the Kutztown Area, Brandywine Heights, Fleetwood Area and Hamburg Area School District
